Privacy Policy
Summit / ODIS · Effective July 6, 2026
Summit Church (“we,” “us”) provides the Summit / ODIS app and the website at summitai.church. This app is built to require as little of your information as possible. You do not create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to use it.
What the app handles
- Your questions & conversations. When you ask ODIS something, your message is sent to our servers to generate an answer, grounded in Summit’s own teaching. Conversations are stored anonymously and auto-deleted after about 48 hours. They are not linked to your identity, and you can clear them anytime with the Clear button.
- Notifications (optional). If you turn on notifications, your device is given an anonymous push token so we can send updates (e.g. the daily verse). It contains no personal information; turn it off anytime in your device settings.
- Problem reports (optional). If you tap “Report a bug,” the app sends technical diagnostics (device/browser type, screen size, the current screen, recent in-session messages, and error logs) so we can fix the issue. It is used only for troubleshooting.
- Anonymous usage counts. We record which features are used, in aggregate, to improve the app. This is not tied to your identity and builds no profile of you.
- On-device only. Highlights, notes, saved verses/events, and downloaded audio are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to us.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- We do not use advertising or third-party ad tracking, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not build a personal profile of you or infer demographics.
Service providers
To run the app we use trusted providers who process data only to deliver the service, under their own privacy terms: Cloudflare (hosting), Anthropic (generates ODIS’s answers), ElevenLabs (read-aloud voice), and Planning Center (church events). Giving and Check-In hand off to Church Center (Planning Center) in their own app or site; any information you enter there is governed by their privacy policy.
Children
The app is intended for a general audience and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
Clear your conversation anytime, turn off notifications in device settings, and delete downloaded audio in the app. Uninstalling removes all on-device data.
